Brace yourself for what is guaranteed to be an exciting panel discussion relating to the recent court-martial of Army Staff Sgt. Bales, who
was sentenced to life without parole for the killing of 16 Afghan civilians.
Panelists, including lead prosecutor Lt. Col. Jay Morse, will discuss
difficulties in investigating and prosecuting crimes committed in a
war zone, the relationship between U.S. military justice and international
criminal law, and perceptions of accountability and justice across cultures.
