Nelson Mandela, Nobel Peace
Prize laureate and South Africa’s first black president, has died, according to BBC News, Reuters, and Washington Post.
Mr. Mandela led South
Africa’s transition from apartheid after spending 27 years in prison for his
political activities. He had been receiving intensive medical care at home for
a lung infection after being hospitalized for three months. Mr. Mandela was 95.
