Larger than Amazon and Ebay combined, Alibaba is working
hard to attract high-end customers, thus providing a huge opportunity for
global sellers to tap into the ever-increasing Chinese market.
According to New
York Times, global brands, such as New Balance, have opened online stores
on Alibaba and have gained huge success. However, concerns with counterfeits
are a battle that both Alibaba and foreign trade offices in China are trying to
fight together. With growing demand in China for imported goods, more and more
foreign trade offices are cooperating with Alibaba to make online shopping
safer.
