On Tuesday, China posted a list
of restricted goods for export to North Korea, including military-like hardware
and chemical substance as part of international sanctions against Pyongyang’s
nuclear program.
As the New
York Times reported, the list was released two weeks after new satellite
images revealed that North Korea may
be resuming plutonium production at its reconstructed nuclear reactor at
Yongbyn.
Items
included on the 236-page list, released Tuesday by the Chinese Ministry of
Commerce, were labeled “dual-use technologies” because they can be used for
both civilian and military applications.
