The International Trade Commission Rules in Favor of SolarWorld

By Craig Tarasoff

The ITC has found that Chinese solar companies have been conducting unfair trade practices in the US. The foreign manufacturers were found guilty of using illegal government subsidies and of dumping the solar panels in US markets, which artificially reduced prices. The claim was brought by SolarWorld, the largest solar panel manufacturer in the United States. As a result of the ruling, solar panel manufacturers from Taiwan and China will face higher tariffs on solar cells.  More information is available at GoLocalPDX.
