The Human Rights Institute Fact-Finding Project at Georgetown University Law Center will present a new report on Friday about the immediate and
devastating impact that statelessness has on the lives of children in the
Dominican Republic, including recommendations to the United States and
Dominican governments for how to improve the situation.
These findings come in
the wake of recent developments in Dominican law that could render many
Dominicans of Haitian descent stateless.
The event is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, in Hotung Building, Room 2000, at the Georgetown University Law Center.
